Z-Independent Bracket for my LongMill MK2.5

1. The concept is good.
2. The Z-axis mounting adapters didn't fit my Seinci LongMill MK2.5 unit. The mounting brackets would not allow the Z-axis plate to go the full length of the travel of
measurement device.
3. When attempting to unbolt the mounting brackets, one broke. I did get the 3d files to print new brackets, but again they woudn't fit on the Z axis mount without interefering with the travel sensor and the proximity switch. NOTE: I was able adjust the 3d file to allow the brackets to clear the path.
4. The mounting bracket fingers would not hold the clear dust collection tube. I fixed the problem by using a velcro strap to hold it in place.
5. I suggest that you replace the pan head screws provide in your kit, with socket head (Allen Key) or standard hex head bolts.

Needed to be tweaked to fit MK2 CNC

I had problems fitting the top brackets. The location of the recess for the vertical rail was off by 2 mm. The width of the side of the support did not have enough clearance for the gantry. Had to redo in fusion. The other parts - while a decent design, are not beefy enough. Redid most in fusion to make it stronger. It could be just my CNC is different. The overall design is good, just needs tweaking. I printed in PETG.

I downloaded the files to make a dust collector for my CNC. The files were great, no problems at all. If you are considering making your own parts, go for it. I did buy their hardware, and that worked well. There video on assembly was also very good.

Nice feature but there is a but

I bought the Z-Independent Bracketing System Files for Makers for my shapeoko Pro XXL fits niceley arround the HDZ set-up but the adjsutable legs have only a slight range it can adjust in. this because of the dusboot designed for the shapeoko. the vacuum side of thsi dustboot routes underneath the y carrage and due to this if you add everything up the z travel is very small. now i made myself new (shorter legs and a differant design dus boot which gives me full travel on the Z-Independent Bracketing System Files for Makers.
