Masso did hear you and has adjusted their announcement as follows:
Our Understanding:
- All software updates for MASSO G3 will remain free because CNC users deserve ongoing innovation and bug fixes without barriers.
- PC based MASSO Link software for machine status and file transfer, and all future updates for MASSO Link will also remain free.
- All users will have access to their myWorkshop accounts to be able to manage and download current and new software versions.
- We will only charge a subscription for cloud-based services, like the MASSO myWorkshop PRO web and mobile apps. This is entirely optional and will be charged at a reduced fee of US$9/month/Controller, to help cover server and maintenance costs from 1st July 2025.
- These cloud-based features are currently available for free, and we highly encourage all users who haven’t explored them yet, to try them out and experience their benefits firsthand.
- And, to make this even easier for our users, we’ve chosen to offer it on a monthly basis instead of yearly, so you can manage your cashflow more easily, especially for smaller shops and hobbyists.
