This premium 3/16" compression bit (also known as an up-down bit) is unique for a compression bit. It has the strength of a 1/4" yet can get almost the detail of a 1/8" compression bit.
Compression bits allow you to cut out your CNC project while leaving both the top and bottom edges of your project clean (eliminates tear-out).
The 3/16" compression bit can cut the entire depth of 3/4" material in one pass.
Compression bits are commonly used in place of the up-cutting endmills and the down-cutting endmills. They are excellent for use when cutting out plywood, and other lumber at full depth on your CNC woodworking projects.
