Recommended Print Settings

  • Extruder Temperature: 200–230°C

  • Bed Temperature: 0–60°C

  • Print Speed: 40–80mm/s

  • Nozzle: 0.4mm standard

  • Layer Height: 0.12–0.28mm depending on desired detail and finish

  • Cooling: Moderate part cooling recommended

Printing Tips

Silk-like PLA typically prints best at a slightly higher nozzle temperature and slower speed than standard PLA. Slower outer-wall speeds can help improve gloss, surface quality, and layer adhesion.

Because silk-style PLA additives can reduce layer adhesion compared to standard PLA, this material is best used for decorative and visual parts rather than heavy-duty structural components. For stronger prints, increase wall count, use adequate infill, print slightly hotter, and avoid excessive part cooling.

Store filament sealed and dry when not in use to help maintain smooth feeding, consistent extrusion, and clean surface quality.
