ZYLtech PETG Filament
ZYLtech PETG filament is a strong, durable, and affordable 3D printing material designed for functional parts that need more toughness than PLA while remaining easier to print than ABS. PETG is a great everyday engineering-style filament, offering excellent layer adhesion, impact resistance, and dependable performance without requiring an enclosure.
PETG combines many of the best qualities of PLA and ABS. It is easier to print than ABS, but offers improved strength, durability, and heat resistance compared to standard PLA. This makes it a great choice for brackets, fixtures, mounts, organizers, shop accessories, outdoor-use parts, prototypes, guards, containers, and other functional prints.
ZYLtech PETG is formulated for reliable extrusion, steady feed rates, and consistent color from spool to spool. It works well with both Bowden and direct-drive extruders, making it a versatile option for hobbyists, schools, shops, print farms, and production users.

Printing Tips
PETG prints hotter than PLA, which helps create stronger layer adhesion and more durable printed parts. For best results, start with a standard PETG slicer profile and adjust temperature, cooling, and speed based on your printer and model.
Use moderate part cooling. Too much cooling can reduce layer adhesion, while too little cooling may affect overhangs, bridges, and small details. A maximum fan speed around 40% after the third layer is a good starting point.
PETG can stick aggressively to some build surfaces, so avoid printing the first layer too close to the bed. A slight Z-offset adjustment or suitable release layer may help with part removal, depending on your build plate.
Store filament sealed and dry when not in use. Dry PETG prints cleaner, strings less, and produces more consistent extrusion.
Translucent Color Note
Some ZYLtech PETG colors are translucent, including:
-
Deep Blue
-
Bright Green
-
Yellow, very slightly
Actual color and translucency may vary depending on lighting, wall thickness, infill, layer height, and print settings.
Note About Made in USA Colors
ZYLtech is transitioning more PETG colors to production at their Houston, Texas facility. Made in USA PETG colors feature improved winding and are clearly marked where applicable. Specifications may vary slightly between current stock and newer USA-made colors, so check the individual color listing or packaging for final details.
